The Fusion Wizard

Question 1:

As input power is increased for a plasma in low mode, how does it effect stored energy, output fusion power and energy confinement time? How is it different for a supershot?

Question 2

Evaluate your data table. One problem encountered by physicists is that you may be able to produce a large output power, but at the expense of how long the energy is confined. Taking into consideration all of the performance variables and the efficiency, which types of plasmas produce the most favorable characteristics? Why?

Question 3

Compare and contrast the similarities and differences between deuterium only plasmas and deuterium/tritium plasmas for the three performance variables: output fusion power, stored energy, and energy confinement time as the total input power is increased. If one performance variable is consistently larger (or smaller) in one mode than the other, state this and calculate by how much.
